Budget Hotels in Taipei

If you are looking for budget hotels in Taipei, the best place to do so is on HotelsCombined.com I have been making reservations for cheap accommodation in Taiwan on that website for years, and I’ve always been very satisfied. They have the best discounts and promotions on the net.

If you don’t want to make a reservation in advance, and you prefer to “shop for a hotel” once you’re in Taipei, you should know that most budget hotels are located in the western (older) part of the city. My advice about hotel reservation in Taipei is…

Don’t wait!
Book your hotel before you arrive in Taipei!

Ten years ago, you could just land in Taipei without a hotel reservation, and you’d find a bed without trouble. Those days are gone. Taiwan’s capital is getting more and more touristy these days and you could even have trouble finding a budget hotel in Taipei during weekdays.

Don’t think of getting a cheap hotel in Taipei City without a reservation on weekends, especially if you want to be downtown.

Here are 3 of the best budget hotels in Taipei:

Many Flower Business Hotel – 1 Star

budget hotel in taipeiThis cheap hotel is very popular because it is located in one of the coolest areas of the city. The Many Flower Business Hotel is within walking distance of Taipei Main Station, the CKS Memorial Hall, Presidential Palace, National Taiwan Museum and lots, lots of good restaurants. This part of Taipei is also great for shopping at night.

You can find out more and check pictures of this budget hotel in Taipei here.

Astar Hotel – 2 Star

astar hotel taipeiThe Astar is another very affordable option not too far from Taipei Main Station. The area around this budget hotel is fantastic to walk around in the evening. There are lots of street stalls, little night markets, KTVs, and shops. Many people have said that the staff is very polite and kind. I also recommend you try the Astar’s restaurant. Click here to check availability at the Astar Hotel in Taipei.

Li Lai Hotel – 2 Star

li lai hotel taipei cityI have spent 2 nights with my girlfriend and my mom at this budget accommodation in Taipei and the 3 of us were very satisfied. The beds were spotless, the room didn’t smell like an ashtray, and the high-speed internet was fast. We stayed at the Li Lai hotel because of its proximity to the Ximending Shopping Area – the biggest shopping district in the capital. This cheap hotel is also surrounded by tons of great places to eat. Check availability and prices.
