More About Hotel Imperial in Taipei
The Imperial Hotel in Taipei claims to have modeled itself after European fashions, but we'll let you judge that for yourself when you get there.
Although the Taipei Imperial Hotel is equal in price to a lot of other locations, its services aren't as comprehensive - there's no spa or pool (they do have free wired internet though). However, the elegant architecture and huge selection of dining choices might bring you in.
Another plus for the Imperial Hotel Taipei is a wide range of room options that will fit your needs well; there are single, double and triple rooms, lots of suites available and more. Those staying in the "club" rooms get access to the VIP lounge, which you may or may not find an attractive sell.
The Imperial Hotel is closer to some of Taipei's tourist attractions that lie in the north. For example, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum (showcasing contemporary art) and the Shilin Night Market are nearby and easily accessible via MRT or taxi.
If you want to sample Taipei cuisine without venturing too far from your hotel room, the Imperial Hotel doesn't look like a bad choice. Don't come looking for the utmost in spa treatment relaxation, though.
