Having lived for more than 10 years in Taichung city, I know exactly how important it is for foreigners to find comfortable places to have a nice cup of coffee in a warm, quiet environment. Something different than Starbucks. More intimate. Fulfil is such a place.

If you happen to live in the Xitun District, near Fengjia University (and night market), you'll be more than happy to know that one of the most comfortable cafes in Taichung has opened its doors in the area. Well, actually, it's not just a cafe.

The owners of the place seem to have a passion for gifts. There's an entire wall dedicated to cute gifts and people actually go there to organize full-on gift-giving parties. I guess you could say it's the key concept of Fulfil... gifts.

But you don't have to be into presents to get down there. The place is perfect for a quick fix of caffeine and to get some stuff done on your laptop. (They provide free Wi-fi internet access.) I had a burger, and a cup of coffee, and it was excellent and affordable. The lady who works there was friendly and made me feel very welcome.

Most of the food and drinks on Fulfil's menu is in the 50-150NT$ bracket.

It's very easy to find. When you're coming on Xitun Rd. from Fengjia University, take a left on Liming Rd.and it's gonna be on your left after about 20 meters.
